About The Trek
Buran Ghati Trek
The Buran Ghati Trek is one of Himachal Pradesh's most spectacular high-altitude treks, known for its dramatic landscapes, dense forests, alpine meadows, snow-covered trails, and the stunning Buran Pass. The trek takes you through the remote Pabbar Valley, offering a beautiful combination of traditional Himalayan villages and rugged mountain terrain.
Starting from the charming village of Janglik, the trail gradually enters dense forests before opening into vast meadows such as Dayara and Litham. The scenery changes dramatically as you approach Buran Ghati, where snow, steep slopes and high-altitude terrain create an exciting trekking experience.
The crossing of Buran Ghati Pass at around 15,000 ft is the highlight of the trek. Depending on the season and snow conditions, the descent from the pass can involve steep snow slopes and careful navigation. The trek eventually leads towards Barua village, completing an unforgettable journey through the lesser-explored landscapes of Himachal Pradesh.
Buran Ghati is ideal for trekkers looking for a more adventurous experience beyond conventional beginner-friendly Himalayan treks.
