About The Trek
Hampta Pass Trek
The Hampta Pass Trek is one of Himachal Pradesh's most exciting Himalayan adventures, famous for its dramatic transition from the lush green valleys of Kullu to the rugged and barren landscapes of Lahaul. Starting from the beautiful town of Manali, the trail takes you through dense forests, alpine meadows, glacial streams, rocky landscapes and high-altitude valleys before crossing the spectacular Hampta Pass at around 14,100 ft.
What makes this trek unique is the incredible change in scenery. On one side, you experience the green and peaceful landscapes of the Kullu Valley, while crossing the pass takes you into the stark, dramatic terrain of Lahaul. The trek also offers the opportunity to visit the beautiful Chandratal Lake, making it an unforgettable Himalayan experience.
With its moderate difficulty, varied landscapes and thrilling pass crossing, Hampta Pass is an excellent choice for trekkers looking to experience high-altitude Himalayan trekking without undertaking a highly technical expedition.
